Serengeti National Park

Established in 1951 and designated as the World Heritage Site in 1981. It is the biggest national park in Tanzania covering an area of 14,763 square km of its endless plains. Serengeti Plains support the herds of more than one million wildebeests migrating from Masai Mara across Grumeti River through Ndutu Plains to the Ngorongoro Crater every year. Serengeti National Park is about 355km (208 miles) north-west of Arusha town.
